Behind the Scenes of Soul Tribe: Growth, Support & New Energy with Anna Durej

The latest episode of Stylus Soul Tribe Conversations was a special one. I was joined by my long-time friend and now executive assistant Anna Durej, who has been quietly (and powerfully) shaping so much of the behind-the-scenes magic in Soul Tribe for the past year and a half. We finally pulled back the curtain to formally introduce the work she’s been doing—and where this community is heading.
From Tiny Tasks to True Right-Hand
When Anna first joined the team, it was just little things: calendar invites, Zoom links, admin odds and ends. But over the past 18 months, her role evolved naturally and powerfully. As Leisha stepped away from her behind-the-scenes role earlier this year, Anna fully stepped in—not just as a helper, but as a true sounding board and support system. Every Wednesday, we meet to ideate, dream, problem-solve, and build. She gets it. She’s been here since Day One. And now? She’s officially Soul Tribe’s executive assistant (although we’ve never formally labeled it until now).
Introducing the Board of Support
A big theme in our conversation was the evolution of leadership inside the Soul Tribe. One of the most exciting additions has been the Board of Support—a concept I’d dreamt up years ago, but that finally came to life with the help of community member LaRee. This board is made up of trusted Soul Tribe members who have found success in their businesses and are passionate about giving back. They’re here to offer guidance, lead calls, and share their wisdom—like a mini mastermind within our already incredible collective.
Current board members: LaRee, Samantha, Krisa (and two new names coming soon 😮)
What Are Creative Initiatives?
Each board member is also asked to create a Creative Initiative—a project or experience unique to their gifts. It’s not a class. It’s not a challenge. It’s a “petri dish” for creativity and connection.
Here’s a peek at what we’ve seen so far:
Krisa hosted a month-long morning habits Marco Polo group.
Samantha facilitated intimate one-on-one “Sessions with Sam” that many members, including Anna, said were deeply perspective-shifting.
LaRee (coming in May) is launching The Balanced Chair, an 8-week financial literacy course packed with mindset, money tracking, goal-setting, and more. (Yes, it comes with a 36-page workbook!)
These initiatives are community-powered and incredibly impactful.
A Mastermind, Evolved
At the heart of everything Soul Tribe does is connection. That’s my zone of genius—I’m a connector. And watching this mastermind model evolve through peer support, Creative Initiatives, and collective leadership has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this work. As Anna said in our episode, the learning doesn’t always come from being in the hot seat—it comes from simply being present. Listening. Witnessing. Absorbing. The magic is everywhere in this community.
Whether you’ve been in Soul Tribe since the Facebook Messenger days or you’re just finding your way here, we want you to know: this space is growing. Evolving. Expanding in the most intentional, grounded way. And it’s thanks to members like Anna, LaRee, Samantha, and the entire board that this vision is becoming reality.
If you’re in Soul Tribe, make sure you check the portal for LaRee’s Balanced Chair program—kicking off the first Monday in May.
If you’re not in Soul Tribe but you’ve been thinking about joining… maybe this is your sign.
